MY STORE ANNOUNCEMENT - Planet Sapphire

Wed Mar 18, 2009, 6:16 AM
Hi everyone! Well, after years and years of crafting, I have FINALLY set up an online shop :) It's called Planet Sapphire, found at [link] and [link] It's mostly jewelry at the moment, but there are also crocheted scarves I've made. My shop is very new so there isn't much inventory yet - more is coming soon!!! And I'd like to get into selling clothing eventually as well, but for the moment it's jewelry and scarves. PLUS, many have asked me about selling the PHANTOM OF THE OPERA necklaces I've made, these - [link] I will be selling these shortly, I promise!!! :D Thank you to everyone who has asked me and expressed interest in these necklaces and in other artwork of mine.

I have a deviantart page for my store, [link] and an Etsy shop, here [link] But if anyone is not an Etsy member but still wants to purchase an item, just contact me by sending me a note here, at my Planet Sapphire deviantart account, or by emailing me at planetsapphire@gmail.com I accept PayPal and check/money orders.

I will be submitting photos of the creations I've made and that are for sale both here and at [link]

Thank you so much to everyone for your support, critique, and comments on my artwork throughout the years! :)

----------UPDATE Feb. 19, 2008------------

OK so I got tagged by the lovely Lady Lucrezia :iconladylucrezia: (well I kind of tagged myself but, anyway ;))
So this is how it works... the first ten people to reply to this journal get three of their deviations featured here, and then they will be required to feature ten people in their journal. (I don't have a subscription to deviantart, so I can only put links up not thumbnails)
So if anyone wants to have 3 of their deviations featured, fire away! :D

Today is David Bowie's 61st Birthday! :D :D Yay!! :D Happy Birthday to him! :D Over the weekend, a friend and I met up to celebrate his birthday and dress up and decorate a cake, which you can see over to the left of this journal as my featured picture ;) We had so much fun, we were laughing because the cake was so silly =P I was so excited when I saw that on BowieNet, the official website of David, the collage that I made and posted in the Happy Birthday forum was used in the news for today! :D :D Thank you to TotalBlamBlam who chose to put it in the news for David's birthday, I feel honored :) There's virtual parties going on on various Bowie fansites, and I still have some of that cake left over ;) Have a great day everyone, and Bowie fans - have a wonderful, Bowie filled day! :D

Happy X-Files Day!!!

It's (what I usually call) X-Files Day!!! :D =P Well, since the date of 11/21 was always used as a mysterious date and time on X-Files, I started calling November 21 "X-Files Day" ;)

I haven't updated my journal in so long....wow not since last March! I've been working on costumes and jewelry, which I added to my gallery. I'm going to start a jewelry company soon, for which I'll sell jewelry online, like the ones I've been making. But I still have to start my website, I'll post something here when I start it if anyone's curious =P I'm still working on costumes of course, I'm making a coat right now and a *very* interesting quilt using photos that I printed on canvas fabric. Bowie fans might like it ;)

BOWIE FANS!!! :D If you love Bowie and would love to discuss Bowie matters with other Bowie fans - from his music to the tours to photos and more, there's a great site that's free to join called BowieZone, which I was made one of the moderators. If you're interested in becoming a member you are more than welcome to join, there are very wonderful people there who are very welcoming and love to discuss all things Bowie :) Here is the place to join: [link]
If you have any questions just send me a message through DA :D Thanks guys! :D

I just noticed i got tagged by Lagatafritz ;)
TAGGED!
8 random things about yourself
1.- post the rules
2.- write down 8 random things about yourself.
3.- you must tag 8 folks

Hmm, where to begin? ;)
1. Now this is a big surprise - I'm a David Bowie fan ;)
2. I got a reply from David himself once on BowieNet - thinking about that still makes me smile :)
3. I'm a vegetarian - and I DO NOT like mushrooms! Yet I'm plagued with them - I always seem to get them in anything I order even when I request no mushrooms =P
4. Now this might seem strange, but I "taught" myself to be ambidextrous - I'm naturally right handed but I've taught myself to be left handed also...I've always been interested in what makes a person right or left handed. Not sure why though! =P
5. I made an LOTR fan film with some friends over the coarse of several years (well, attempted to ;))
6. I have the evil moon from Zelda: Majora's Mask hanging from my ceiling in my room...I made it out of plaster years ago (though it now has a crater - I accidentally hit it while lifting weights one day =P)
7. I love astronomy! I'd love to be a NASA scientist... :)
8. Ancient Egypt is another one of my passions - I love and collect all things Egyptian, and I'm working on an Egyptian costume. Nefertiti is awesome!!!

For those of you in the U.S. celebrating Thanksgiving tomorrow, have a very Happy Thanksgiving! Thanks to all who have been leaving me comments on my jewelry, costumes, and photos - I appreciate that! Have a good day everyone :)
